You will work predominantly in IT departments in international companies, where you will come into contact with colleagues from different cultures. If you're looking for a career with diversity and would enjoy working through English, this apprenticeship would be a good choice for you.

4 years, with or without the Federal Vocational Baccalaureate

Platform Development tasks

Planning, managing and maintainance of physical or virtual server systems and services, ensure security and availability of systems and performance reliability of the network, protection of information and secure distribution of information.

Qualifications

Federal VET Diploma in Information Technology, Specialization in Platform Development

There is an additional note attached to the Diploma to acknowledge the additional English language skills gained over the course of the VET program.

Requirements

The ability to work independently, a capacity for logical and abstract thinking, the ability to learn quickly, keen powers of perception, vision and imagination, excellent concentration, resilience, flexibility in dealing with words and pictures, good knowledge of English, good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Completion of secondary education level 1 - Level A
  • Very good marks in math, physics and natural sciences

What's unique about this apprenticeship

Your host companies will operate on the global stage. As a result, most of the communication at your workplace will be in English. In addition to your regular education and training, you will attend intensive courses in English and will take part in two separate two-week language trips. The program aims to prepare you to obtain an international language certificate. The subjects taught at the VET school will largely be held in German. The qualification process will also be conducted in German too. This means you need to have a sufficient level of German to complete this apprenticeship.
