Am letzten Tag im Januar traf Gyle Tierney (Minister of Training and Skills des australischen Bundesstaates Victoria) mit einer hochrangigen Delegation von Vertretern aus Politik, Berufsbildung und Industrie im Kanton Zug ein.
The primary focus of the Minister's visit was to learn more about vocational education and training (VET) systems in Switzerland, as Victoria (AUS) is currently looking at its own VET system.
bildxzug wurde gebeten, der Delegation nebst der dualen Berufsbildung auch das Verbundsmodel näher zu bringen. Wie konnte das besser geschehen als direkt vor Ort bei der Verbundsfirma Glencore International AG und zusammen mit einer Lernenden?
Gerda Schwindt (Head Group HR at Glencore International AG), Ronja Aberg (mutual apprentice in commerce in her 2nd year of apprenticeship) and Cornelia Mathys (Head of Host Company Network at bildxzug) answered uncountable questions and presented, how this symbiotic cooperation works.
Obwohl die Zeit viel zu kurz war, konnte das Interesse geweckt werden und Ronja gab alles, um zu zeigen, zu was Lernende fähig sind. Es hat gewirkt, wie aus dem Dankesschreiben ersichtlich ist:
“…On behalf the delegation I wish to thank you for your time and effort in organising the visit. It was great to learn about the Swiss VET system and hear about your Networked Apprenticeships. Please also pass on our thanks to both Gerda and Ronja for their time. It was great to hear from such a large organisation as Glencore their experience of apprenticeships. As was apparent in the meeting the delegation was extremely impressed by Ronja, her maturity and professionalism for such a young age and they really appreciated the opportunity of hearing from an apprentice first hand...”
Wer weiss, vielleicht bahnt sich da in der Zukunft eine interessante Zusammenarbeit zwischen Victoria und bildxzug an…?
